Increased Metabolism Increased Bowel Movements

Let the oil underground in the Yasuni park!

.
Ecuador is a poor country with immense biodiversity but at the same time depending on the resources generated by oil.

With ITT, this small state is trying to appeal to the world in order to have support of countries and responsible citizens for a successful transition to a more sustainable development model and a post-oil economy.

Wanting to fight against global warming, the Ecuadorian government does not operate some 850 million barrels of oil located in the Yasuni park, a nature reserve in the world ...

We, citizens, environmental activists, community and environmental organizations, associations, political parties and unions, denounce the failure of the Copenhagen Summit and urge the French Government and the European Union to support the Yasuni-ITT Initiative of Ecuador.

The ITT project (acronym from the names of the three exploration wells located in the area: Ishpingo-Tambococha-Tiputini) driven by social movements, is one of the initiatives proposed by the Ecuadorian government to fight against global warming. This is not to operate some 850 million barrels of oil located in the Yasuni park, a nature reserve that contains one of the largest global biodiversity and is inhabited by indigenous communities in the Amazon, the Tagaeri, and the Taromenane Oñamenane (indigenous peoples living in voluntary isolation and are part of the Waorani nationality).

Ecuador's economy is mainly based on the rent that oil accounted for 22.2% of GDP, 63.1% of exports and 46.6% of the General State Budget for the 2008. ITT reserves represent approximately 20% of total reserves in the country known. So it's a financial windfall that a country as poor that Ecuador can not do without. However, the Ecuadorian government's proposal is not to exploit the reserves of fossil energy, while the operation of the heavy oil could bring the state between 5 and 6 billion (with a price of about 70 dollars per barrel).

In exchange, Ecuador, based on the UN principle of common but differentiated responsibilities for global environmental problems, the international community to demand a contribution of 50% of the financial windfall he may have s' had operated oil. Indeed, avoiding emissions of about 410 million tonnes of CO2, encourage conservation of biodiversity in the Amazon, preventing deforestation, uphold the rights of indigenous peoples who inhabit this land, bringing benefits to mankind as a whole . This is a step towards the recognition of climate as a global public good and the ecological debt of the most polluting countries.

The failure of the Copenhagen World Summit which was to reach a binding agreement on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, to extend the Kyoto Protocol for the period after 2012, leads us to get our governments to their responsibilities, including their commitment to support existing initiatives. The ITT is indeed a beginning of ecological transition to move towards an alternative model of development and not production-abiding "Madre Tierra", Nature, for Ecuador and the rest of the world.

It is no longer intends to make speeches on the impacts of global warming and climate change. The world needs concrete measures and the establishment of genuine public policy in terms of ecology, supported on social movements and peoples concerned. The ITT project, now threatened by the lack of commitments that reinforces those who oppose it, is one of the first initiatives that will in that sense, it represents an example for the post-oil economy and climate justice into reality.

We urge the French Government and the EU to follow the example of Germany (which has committed to fund this project for 50 million euros per year for 13 years ) and make a contribution to financial the Yasuni-ITT Initiative will be realized. We also urge the government of Ecuador to continue his project, in conjunction with social movements who wear it.

Finally, the failure of negotiations in Copenhagen has shown that it is more necessary than ever that all social movements and societies are reclaiming the debate. We therefore commit ourselves to mobilize collectively to support the Yasuni-ITT Initiative and invite social movements, environmental movements and more generally the global movement to support this appeal.

Congradulatory Quotes

News & Utopiales

The Utopiales

Turn over a week to type my review, I admit, it's not very glorious ... What do you want, I have news to end emergency (During playback, this is my first order, the bulk stress.) Then Utopiales? Super festival as usual. I had the time to browse the exhibits and attend a conference (I listen to so thanks ActuSF HERE.)

is that Friday and Saturday by extension, I mostly presented CoCyclics, sold GGG *, answering questions, meeting new people, reviewed a large number of frogs, asked for autographs, surveyed the bar with Mrs Spock Magali Duez, etc..

must make com 'for CoCyclics (the unpronounceable stuff that nobody can say or write), the story that everyone knows what you do. There is still work, but it progresses.

My nice little moments:

  • To those who believe the adventure impossible in Britain, they ride with me getting lost on back roads a stormy night. ^ __ ^
  • Jean-Claude Dunyach jokes to howl with laughter with his hands.
  • A child can sleep like a rock even under a red light.
  • Scott Westerfield Syven think is a pen name "lovely" (GHAAAA!)
  • Just come to Nantes to Brest meet an author (Yan Marchand me autographed As a poison water )
  • Keep a sofa in the bar, is sure to get acquainted with authors and publishers. ^ __ ^
  • I started to dedicate my guide publishers by publishers on an idea by Jean-Claude Dunyach. For cons, the team of the GGG is not hot for its slogan, "Written with feet, connected with the buttocks" (from my side, I think it will raise the attendance rate of this blog. I do not mind.)
  • Three o'clock in the morning, the frogs are not lying and they love to play with small mechanical frog. So-so.
The restaurant on Saturday evening was great as always. I left with my bag in a package of lessons that make me think again about writing. You tell me, I already asked a lot of metaphysical questions. I just ask more ...

And I came back speechless.

First dedication

In fact, my first official dedication at a show, there it is, it is expected: the festival Free Zone Bagneux. I'm on the list and will have a booth Laugh. My Way at least March 4. http://sites.google.com/site/zonefranchebagneux92/programme-2011/auteurs-illustrateurs

* GGG: Grimoire of the Galactic Frogs

Soon more news. And small reflections of the authors.

Quotes About Church Anniversaries

A breaking of republican principles ...

.
A believe the majority of political commentators, the realignment would be a non-event because he did little to change the composition of the government. But precisely because it did not change that this redesign is an event.

Nicolas Sarkozy chose to send a clear message: I will not budge. This hardening around various personalities UMP course aims to prepare the 2012 presidential elections but also to consider further austerity demanded by financial markets, the European Union and the IMF ...

Renamed or extended, regardless of the term "new" Prime Minister Francois Fillon said a new phase is beginning: that of employment growth.

This means, conversely, that growth and employment have not so far priorities for the outgoing government. Witness also the austerity plan in force which is likely to increase, especially with the massive reduction in government spending and taxes.

Who says austerity plan also said increased pressure on all employees and thereby, increase social inequalities.

was already the subject of the cons-pension reform and the proposed 2011 budget. It will also be an announcement with a bang: the abolition of the tax shield and the wealth tax (ISF) and the creation of a new tax bracket (45%) for income tax.

The Trade Union Solidarity SNUI SOUTH Treasury considers indeed " that such a reform would costly and unfair." This would "significantly reduce the tax to the heritage of the most affluent."

Expensive, because according to calculations SNUI, "it would lead to a shortfall" . Remove the shield represent a "economy of 679 million euros" . Remove the ISF would "divest itself of 3.4 billion euros" . And "budget performance for a slice of 45% would be between 700 million and 1 billion euros" . "It fails between 1.7 and 2 billion euros for the closure of this fiscal reform. "

unjust because such a reform " favor the richest and annuitants . " investment income being taxed at the proportional rate of 18%, taxpayers receiving such income would be unaffected by the new tranche to 45%!

Another issue, mentioned by the president in his last television interview, is the problem of addiction. A extensive program except that we do not see the solution in the current economic climate with 8 million people living below the poverty line in France, the unemployed, retired or disabled dependents, but also employees, who can not contribute and whose fate is unlikely to improve in the foreseeable future.

And that new "reform" is likely not to be part of Social Security but that of private insurance. It is particularly significant from the policy followed by Nicolas Sarkozy: the social promises but essentially for those who can afford them, a bit like nursing homes. P lacing for example a parent in a nursing home is expensive, even very expensive: around € 1 800 per month! It is sometimes more, sometimes less in the public.

The study of the DREES ( Research Branch, research, evaluation and statistics) as of December 2008 gives a figure of 1212 shows euros, the average amount Pensions in France (basic pension + additional pension). If men receive pensions for an amount of 1598 euros, women are lagging behind, with a retreat of 990 euros!

But who says austerity plan also says the economic downturn, thus weakening growth and rising unemployment.

For "new" government team, more profits and lower cost of labor promote growth and employment but it is always so good old liberal formula is put forward: the profits today are the jobs of tomorrow!

It is by supporting consumption by wage increases and better distributing the wealth produced by a real tax reform and increased taxation of dividends that the situation will reverse the benefit of the investment and employment.

A major reorientation of economic policy would be necessary but this is not the case despite the crisis, where we see strong development of social inequalities. And these are not a European summit, the G20 or the action of DSK in the IMF proposes to regulate and regulate the effects of unbridled capitalism!

In the end, where we were entitled to expect a break with the economic and social policy, there is rather a departure from republican principles ...

Brian And Andrew A Place In Greece 2010

strategies for manipulating public opinion

.
North American linguist Noam Chomsky has developed a list of "Ten Strategies for Handling" used by political elites worldwide, through the media.

Since the strategy of distraction, through the strategy of degradation, the goal is always the same: to keep the public in ignorance and mediocrity.

At a government reshuffle Sarkozian a sidereal space, no doubt that our President of the Republic has learned by heart the various strategies that will stick perfectly. Just take any recent event: the result is inspiring!

1 / strategy distraction

crucial element of social control, the strategy of diversion is to divert public attention from important issues and changes decided by the political and economic elites, through a constant barrage of distractions and trivial information. The strategy of diversion is also essential to prevent the public interest in the essential knowledge in the fields of science, economics, psychology, neurobiology, and cybernetics. "Keep the public's attention distracted, far from real social problems, captivated by matters of no real importance. Keep the public busy, busy, busy, no time to think, back to the farm with other animals. Excerpt from "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars"

2 / Create problems and offer solutions

This method is also called "problem-reaction-solution". It first creates a problem, a "situation" referred to elicit a certain reaction public so that it is itself that measures applicant wishes him to accept. For example: let it develop urban violence, or organize bloody attacks, so that the public security laws or applicant at the expense of freedom. Or: Create an economic crisis to accept as a necessary evil, the decline of social rights and the dismantling of public services.

3 / strategy degradation

To accept an unacceptable extent, simply apply it gradually, "degraded," a 10 years. That's the way that socio-economic conditions radically new (neo) were imposed during the years 1980 to 1990. Massive unemployment, precariousness, flexibility, outsourcing, wages can no longer ensure a decent income, so many changes that have caused a revolution if they had been brutally applied.

4 / The strategy of deferred

Another way to accept an unpopular decision is to present it as "painful but necessary "By obtaining the agreement of the public in this for an application in the future. It is always easier to accept a sacrifice a sacrifice immediate future. First, because the effort is not to provide right away. Then because the public still tends to naively hope that "everything will be better tomorrow" and that the sacrifice required may be avoided. Finally, it allows time for the public to get used to the idea of change and accept it with resignation when the time comes.

5 / Addressing the public as to children in infancy

Most advertisements for the general-use public discourse, arguments, characters, and a particularly tone condescending, often close to the debilitating, as if the viewer was a child of young age or a disabled mind. The more we seek to mislead the viewer, the more you adopt a tone of childish. Why? "If you go to a person as if she was aged 12 when, due to suggestibility, it will have a certain probability, a response or reaction as uncritical as a person 12 years. " Extract "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars"

6 / Appealing to the emotional rather than thinking

Appealing to emotions is a classic technique for short-circuit analysis rational, and therefore the critical individuals. In addition, the use of emotional register opens the door to the unconscious as the site for ideas, desires, fears, impulses, or behavior ...

7 / Maintain the public in ignorance and stupidity

Ensure that the public is unable to understand the technologies and methods for its control and slavery. "The quality of education given to the lower classes must be the poorest, so that the gap of ignorance that separates the lower class upper class is and remains incomprehensible to the lower classes. Excerpt from "Weapons for Quiet Wars quiet"

8 / encourage the public to wallow in mediocrity

Encourage the public to find "cool" being stupid, vulgar and uneducated ...

9 / Replace the revolt by guilt

Make believe that the individual is alone responsible for his misfortune, because of the insufficiency of his intellect, ability, or her efforts. Thus, instead of revolting against the economic system devalues the individual and self-guilt, which creates a depression which one effect is inhibition of the action. And without action, no revolution! ...

10 / know people better than they know themselves

Over the past 50 years, rapid advances in science have opened up a widening gap between public knowledge and those owned and used by the ruling elites. With biology, neurobiology, and applied psychology, the "system" has reached an advanced knowledge of the human being, both physically and psychologically. The system has come to better understand the average person that it does not know himself. This means that in most cases, the system has more control and more power over individuals that the individuals themselves.

Whats Happened To Teckdechlive

For a public school and secular

.
The Finance Bill 2011 was officially presented by the government that continues, not surprisingly, his austerity plan to reduce public spending.

Thus, budget of Education, reviewed by parliament in early November, plans to cut 16,000 more jobs in September 2011!

Again, this budget will help to stifle the public secular school while sparing private education ...

Public School, secular and free creates social bonds essential to meet the challenges of a world in crisis. It her, and she alone, which ensures social cohesion. Yet today it is threatened by political choices that promote and encourage private educational consumerism.

Let us give priority to public school!

The public and secular education must ensure each student a quality education in all territories. It should enable each and everyone, whatever their cultural or geographical origin, whatever their condition, regardless of disability, receive education and appropriate "living together" in a space where freedom of conscience is strictly enforced.

Today, public service and secular education is no longer a priority for the state.

The many ministerial decisions show:

  • the tens of thousands of job losses that continue to hit hard, the fragile rural and asphyxiate in area Urban
  • public aid granted to private schools (95% Catholic) who have never been higher. It is nearly 7 billion Euros annually granted by the state, which are added the shareholdings mandatory paid by local authorities,
  • law Carle which amplifies the funding competition within the public service and reinforces the logic of "market" school
  • deleting the sectorization, which transforms the parents in education consumer,
  • development of the private commuter plane where the public service needs are greatest where social segregation is the most strong
  • agreements "Kouchner Vatican (who question the rules of convocation university for the benefit of Catholic institutes) and projects for funding by the state of private higher education.

We, the signatories of this petition, reject the weakening organized by the state of our public and secular education.

Education is not a commodity. Freedom of conscience must be respected everywhere and for all. The money all has to stop funding the choice of a few.

We demand a political orientation that makes clear the choice of public schools, secular and free.

We reaffirm there is a School of the Republic.

We ask that the educational effort of the Nation is dedicated to the development of the School of the Nation.
